Art! Now in Magenta

Magenta is a purplish-pink color evoked by lights with less power in yellowish-green wavelengths than in blue and red wavelengths (complements of magenta have wavelength 500–530 nm).

For more infomation on magenta and other colours check out your local library *gives thumbs up*.

Is it secret?

Is it safe wars?
It is / 'tis the season of twinkly lights, cranberry sauce and buying stuff for each other. Last Sunday however was about doodling in front of many people.

The Walls of Jerispringer

If you think that all I do is sit at home and draw monsters then you my friend are only partially right. I recently started 'The Wall' at the art college in Cardiff to celebrate 20 years since the destruction of the Berlin Wall. I started it off with some random bits and pieces, now it's been handed over to the students of UWIC to add or subtract or rip or paint or draw on or whatever... perhaps tearing this one down might not be such a good idea.

These were my contributions...

One day, everything will be fine.

I did this for my fwends:

This one is for colouring in purposes:

I'm exhausted. So much painting and live art and exhibiton planning and proposal writing and canvas making and research and marketing and event organisation would kill me if it weren't for the pure joy of creating art.

"No, they're not Pokemon*"

Bizarre creatures, beasts, monsters, dom's imaginary friends, wherever you like to call them... all taken from the mind and brain of Dom and put on display in a pleasing fashion for all to behold.

The opening event will include people doing arts and people playing music from cds and/or laptops quite loud. which means there'll be all kinds of fun.

VersuS (live art) - 4th to 11th September
A week long clash of styles that utilises the unique character of tactileBOSCH Studios.

Ben Meredith and Dom Williams exploit tactileBOSCH as a studio / gallery space as they create artwork throughout the week. Visitors have the chance to witness the creation process and interact with the artists as well as contribute to the gallery space themselves.

Both artists share macabre undertones in their work, although Meredith's art usually features playful, energetic painterly figures and surfaces, whilst Williams’ work mixes traditional fantasy illustrations with the modern japanese movement ‘Superflat’.

Closing night features live art and DJ’s (Fri 11th Sep 7 -11pm).
